The Washington Nationals called up right-hander Jacob Turner from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday.

Turner, 26, returns to the Nationals for his second major league assignment of the season. He went 2-3 with a 5.08 ERA over 39 innings in 18 games (two starts) during his first stint with Washington.

Turner reported to Triple-A after being outrighted on July 3 and went 0-1 with an 11.74 ERA in two starts.

The Nationals also transferred right-hander Koda Glover to the 60-day disabled list.

Glover, 24, has missed 31 games after being placed on the 10-day disabled list on June 11 with lower back stiffness. Prior to his injury, he recorded eight saves while going 0-1 with a 5.12 ERA in 23 appearances out of Washington's bullpen.
