The heat is on, the pressure cooker is about to explode, the fuse on the dynamite is burning down and only the strong will survive it all. With the college basketball regular season heading for its end, the contenders will stand up and be counted while the pretenders will be exposed for what they are-just average teams. Fans will be stunned when they discover their favorite team was not as advertised. Many bettors will wonder what happened.

Ohio State (23-5) will be exposed as the most over-rated team in college basketball, Wichita State (25-4) the most under-rated. Traditional powers Connecticut (17-10), Memphis (20-8), Butler (18-12), Arizona (19-9), UCLA (15-12) and Florida (22-6) are going down early.

There are more questions than answers.

  • Could we have an all-Kansas championship game matching Kansas (23-5) and Wichita State?
  • Will Florida State (19-7) emerge as the best team in the Atlantic Coast Conference, finishing in front of North Carolina (24-4) and Duke (23-4)?
  • Is BYU (23-6) really the best team in the West Coast Conference even though the Cougars have played second-fiddle to Saint Mary's (23-5) and Gonzaga (21-5) all season?
  • Just how good are the likes of Drexel (24-5), Murray State (26-1) and even Long Island (21-7) and Wagner (23-4)?

And the beat goes on. This is the state of college basketball as it heads for March Madness and the challenge facing bettors is at its most difficult stage right now, today and the only people winning will be those who actually know what they are doing. Beating the number-never easy-just got tougher and that is saying something about a season that was minus soft numbers. Amateur bettors are as of today dead in the water.

While handicapping college basketball as the regular season winds down is a true challenge to all bettors there is one thing we know for sure-good teams win on the road-and that might be a good starting point in the complicated world of analysis. Here is a list of teams that have talent and have won impressively on the road this season. They definitely are good teams.

Going For 3rd Straight 50-Unit Winner Tonight With Duke At Florida State
It was score-time again last night for my highrollers as I won my 50-unit Colonial Athletic Association Game of the Year with Drexel (-14 .5) as the Dragons got past James Madison, 78-61. The night before that it was a 50-unit blowout play on Clemson (-4) as the Tigers crushed and embarrassed Georgia Tech by 19 points, 56-37. And the winning continues tonight with my 50-unit special Atlantic Coast Conference play on the Duke (23-4) at Florida State (19-7) game. Both these teams are at the top of their games right now and Duke comes into this game having won its last six road games, including a victory at North Carolina, while FSU is 14-1 at home and 10-1 in its last 11 outings and that includes a blowout win over North Carolina, 90-57, January 4. When these teams met earlier this season in Durham, Duke won by three points, 76-73, as a 10-point favorite. This is another game that is going to be decided by one thing and I know what it is. Win this 50-unit play with me for just $50. Also available toll free at 1-800-755-2255.

25-Unit College Double Power Play Gets Cash Tonight
I have released but five 25-unit C hairman's Club plays over the past eight days and have gone 4-0-1 in those games, including a push with the Los Angeles Clippers (-8) with their 103-85 win over the Denver Nuggets last night and the night before that a 25-unit play on underdog Kansas State (+9) in its outright 78-68 win at 3rd-ranked Missouri. I intend to keep my current record unblemished tonight with a winning 25-unit double power play that grades out with an 80% chance to get the cover. Win with me again for just $25, charged to your major credit card. Also available toll free at 1-800-755-2255.

Best Bets Club Goes 3-0 Last Night And Goes 3-0 Tonight
My Best Bets Club went 3-0 again last night for the second time in the past three days and stands 6-1 in the time frame, up 45 units, and the winning continues tonight. Last night it was a winning 15-unit play on Notre Dame (-2.5) in its 27-point blowout over West Virginia, 71-44, followed by two 5-unit winners with underdog Texas-El Paso (+1) in its 76-68 victory over Southern Miss and with San Diego State (-5.5) in with its 67-58 win over Wyoming. Tonight it is right back with three more standout college plays, with the top move of the night being another 15-unit bet on a standout winner. You can get the cash with that game, plus get two additional 5-unit best bet winners, for just $15. Also available toll free at 1-800-755-2255.
