THE COLLEGE B-BALL REPORT: HERE'S A FUN PEEK OF HOW THIS YEAR'S NCAA TOURNAMENT COULD LOOK...(YES, VERY MUCH SUBJECT TO CHANGE!)
One thing about these final three weeks of College Basketball action before we get to Selection Sunday on March 17th:
There's gonna be a whole lot of slam-bang hoops straight ahead where a batch of high-profile teams are going to get beat and where a fair share of middling teams likely will find ways to win their mini-tournies and thus earn higher NCAA Tournament seeds. In a moment, we'll present our "Could-It-Be 2019 NCAA Tournament" but first this quickie reminder ...
Jim Hurley's Network of Handicappers and Bloggers will keep beating the Las Vegas and offshore books with more College Basketball and NBA winners plus don't forget this weekend it's Week 3 of the AAF (Alliance of American Football). So, let's cash in big all this week right here online or 1-800-323-4453. Just keep rollin' in the profits with Jim Hurley's Network!
Okay, so let's roll on with we think the NCAA Tournament might look like next month and note that our "First Four" would feature a 12th seed battle between VCU versus South Dakota State and a 16th seed showdown between Radford versus Robert Morris on Tuesday, March 19 followed by a 12th seed tilt between New Mexico State versus Seton Hall and a 16th seed affair between Northern Kentucky versus Siena on Wednesday, 20:
EAST REGION -
1 Duke vs 16 Northern Kentucky/Siena
2 Michigan vs 15 Bucknell
3 LSU vs 14 Hofstra
4 Wisconsin vs 13 Lipscomb
5 Florida State vs 12 Georgia State
6 Louisville vs 11 Oregon State
7 Buffalo vs 10 Baylor
8 Ohio State vs 9 N.C. State
Lookin' Ahead ... An LSU vs. Louisville matchup in the Round of 32 would be uber-juicy and ditto for a possible Michigan vs. Buffalo battle and how about a Sweet 16 showdown between ACC rivals Duke against Florida State? Yummy stuff.
MIDWEST REGION -
1 Tennessee vs 16 Norfolk State
2 Michigan State vs 15 Prairie View
3 Houston vs 14 Old Dominion
4 Villanova vs 13 Belmont
5 Marquette vs 12 Davidson
6 Maryland vs 11 Temple
7 Cincinnati vs 10 Wofford
8 Iowa vs 9 Colorado
Lookin' Ahead ... We'd sign for a Tennessee vs. Michigan State bash in the Midwest Regional final / Elite 8 but let's think of some potential Sweet 16 matchups such as Tennessee vs. Villanova or maybe Michigan State vs. Houston?
SOUTH REGION -
1 Virginia vs 16 Radford/Robert Morris
2 North Carolina vs 15 UMBC
3 Purdue vs 14 Yale
4 Kansas vs 13 Murray State
5 Virginia Tech vs 12 New Mexico State/Seton Hall
6 Auburn vs 11 Utah State
7 Ole Miss vs 10 St. John's
8 Kansas State vs 9 South Carolina
Lookin' Ahead ... We are firm believers that there is always a bracket-buster game in the Round of 32 and let's daydream that maybe we'll see a Murray State vs. New Mexico State bash that would be highly entertaining, right? Check out the matchups and maybe we'd get an Elite 8 " blue-blood" game between North Carolina versus Kansas. Hey, does the ACC have something to worry about facing UMBC again?
WEST REGION -
1 Kentucky vs 16 Sam Houston
2 Gonzaga vs 15 UCSB
3 Texas Tech vs 14 Montana
4 Iowa State vs 13 San Francisco
5 Miss State vs 12 VCU/South Dakota State
6 Nevada vs 11 Loyola-Chicago
7 Syracuse vs 10 Southern Miss
8 Washington vs 9 UCF
Lookin' Ahead ... A Gonzaga vs. Nevada tilt in the Sweet 16 round would be a blast and ditto for a Round of 32 game between Kentucky vs. Washington. If we got matchups/brackets like this, we'd love to see a Round of 32 game between Iowa State against exciting South Dakota State.
NOTE: We've got NBA and NCAA Basketball coverage later this week right here at Jim Sez - plus Alliance Football too as Sunday's showdowns include Birmingham at Atlanta and then San Antonio at San Diego -- so don't miss out and make sure you're rollin' up all the winners at 1-800-323-4453 or right here online
