In other NCAA Basketball News & Notes ...

There's more than a few high-profile / major-college teams that have flopped versus the vig this 2018-19 season, so let's examine a few of 'em:

Arizona (10-16) - No secret that the U of A Wildcats' talent level has dropped off but the lack of depth has been a killer in recent weeks as this Pac-12 team has lost seven in a row against the odds plus keep in mind the 'Cats have never strung together three in a row spreadwise all year long. Next up ... vs. California (Thursday)

Florida (10-15) - Last weekend's 71-53 win at 3.5-point fav Alabama snapped a seven-game spread winning streak for the Gators who have endured a batch of rotten shooting nights in recent weeks. If the "D" holds up in the days/weeks ahead, then Florida might turn the beat around but covering just 40 percent of your games just ain't cutting it. Next up ... at LSU (Wednesday)

Georgetown (9-15-1) - Patrick Ewing's squad started out the year at 1-6 ATS (against the spread) and so you could say the Hoyas have been merely treading water since early December but the fact of the matter is this Big East bunch is 5-6-1 vig-wise in conference games while owning a key cover against old foe Syracuse. Maybe the Hoyas take too many threes? Next up ... vs. Villanova (Wednesday)

Oklahoma State (9-17) - Any way you slice it, these Okie State Cowboys have been a disaster: Seven spread losses in their last 10 games, 5-9 ATS in Big 12 games and a crummy 2-7 spread log away. Go ahead and check out the fact the Pokes rank 301st nationally in scoring offense ...ugh! Next up ... at Kansas State (Saturday)

West Virginia (9-17) - Here's another Big 12 team that's been a betting disaster and, heck, we're not used to saying that about a Bob Huggins-coached club. The Mountaineers have failed to cover nine of their last 11 games while dating back to Jan. 12th and now this club's showing lots of internal strife. Better steer clear of this Morgantown five. Next up ... at Baylor (Saturday)
