SUPER BOWL LIII - HERE'S SOME PROP PLAYS TO CONSIDER FOR THIS SUNDAY'S GAME …
THE COLLEGE B-BALL REPORT: WE ENTER FEBRUARY AND GET YOU THE TOP 10 SEEDS IN EACH REGION OF THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
Okay, so you know that the Las Vegas price tags - both the Side and the Totals - have been sitting there at New England - 2.5 points and 56.5 points for the past few days now although we've personally run into a few folks who claim "their guy" has the Patriots at -3 points here for Super Bowl LIII.
Jim Hurley's Network of Handicappers and Bloggers will finish off this Football Season with a real bang come Super Bowl LIII as we win with the Side & Totals of the Patriots versus the Rams. Get 'em on game day at 1-800-323-4453 or go online right here and remember to cash every day with NBA and College Basketball Winners too!
Now, let's get to one of our favorite Jim Sez columns each/every year - checking out some Prop Plays for the big game. Here's a few we recommend for Super Bowl 53:
LONGEST FG MADE - Go over 45.5 yards - 155
Okay, so it's been rather well-documented that Los Angeles Rams PK Greg Zuerlein has been having some issues with his left/plant foot ever since halftime of the team's NFC Championship Game win in New Orleans - yes, he still boomed 48- and 57-yard kicks to tie and then win that wild 26-23 overtime affair - but we'll trust that he'll make at least one long-range field goal here on Super Sunday while always-underrated New England Patriots' PK Stephen Gostkowski remains a major threat inside 55 yards out. The fact this one's in a dome helps - of course - but we'll say for the record both kickers make field goals beyond this 45.5-yard mark. Sure, gotta lay heavy juice right now but don't sweat it … by halftime this one will be in the bank.
WILL THE RAMS CONVERT A FOURTH DOWN ATTEMPT - Yes /- 130
If you read our Jim Sez column just the other day, then you know we believe Rams' head coach Sean McVay will play it fast-and-loose and that means going for it on a number of fourth-down plays. Odds are the Rams will make at least one conversion on a 4th-and-1 or 4-and-2 play (a fake punt with P Johnny Hekker is always a strong possibility, of course) and so we'll lay the small juice price here and likely expect a RB Todd Gurley rush or QB Jared Goff quick slant pass to get "mission accomplished".
SUPER BOWL 53 MVPs - WR Josh Reynolds, Rams (60-to-1) and PK Stephen Gostkowski, Patriots (80-to-1)
Do you really want to wager on Rams' slinger Goff at 2-to-1 or Patriots legend QB Tom Brady at even money? Nah!
Let's suggest you toss a couple of tiny plays on the above-mentioned Reynolds and Gostkowski to win the Super MVP and take a shot to make a bundle of greenbacks.
Reynolds could hit a couple of "home runs" over the top should new England safeties "cheat up" a bit while Gostkowski is quite capable of a four- or five-FG game and thus stealing some of the post-game spotlight from Mr. Brady.
Give 'em a whirl.
One last word-to-the-wise when it comes to the NFL Prop Plays here for Super Bowl 53: Don't feel as if you have to litter the board with lots of action - as we do here (and just about in every Super Bowl game that we can remember) - just find two or three or four props that tickle your fancy and be done with 'em. And be careful of any of those individual plays: Someone can always get hurt and ruin your chance of going "over" in Gurley rushing yards or "over" pass receptions for Patriots' TE Rob Gronkowski. Got it?
JIM HURLEY'S NETWORK ANNOUNCES
A SUPER BOWL CASH HOLIDAY!
Starting Thursday and going through Super Bowl LIII on Sunday
Only the Fourth of July is more American than the Super Bowl! And that's why the Jim Hurley Network, the master of the American handicapping scene for the past 30 years is declaring this weekend a National Cash Holiday!
I want to tell you right now that my Network has the Super Bowl locked up! Our record the last 15 years is 22-8 in sides and totals - that's 73.3% in the biggest game of the year.
But I don't want just a one-day score and I'm not limited to football. I'm talking about four days of non-stop winning, where we start with basketball on Thursday night and take hoops right up to kickoff on Sunday night. We're on a roll right now, as our Blue Ribbon Service has won 8 of the last 11 and we intend to keep that going straight through this Super Bowl Cash Holiday.
SUPER BOWL SIDE & TOTAL -- Rams vs. Patriots (-2.5, 56.5) (6:30 ET, CBS)
It's time to cap off the Cash Holiday by winning the big one! Is it Belichick and Brady getting another ring, or Jared Goff and Sean McVay winning their first! We know!
And we're looking strongly at the total and top props too! Get ready to count the money.
Click here and get our Super Bowl Cash Holiday with basketball starting Thursday going through the Super Bowl - all for just $50. Or play just the Super Bowl for $29. There's a lot of money out there both on the Super Bowl and before it, so make sure you get a piece of the action!
