LET'S GET IT ON!!! COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S CHAMPIONSHIP GAME WEEKEND IS UPON US AND WE'RE CASHIN' STARTING WITH TONIGHT'S PAC-12 TITLE BASH ... NFL POINTSPREAD UPDATES

Hey, the arguments/debates have been raging all week long ... will it be #5 Oklahoma or #6 Ohio State that lands the fourth and final berth in this year's College Football Playoffs (see Saturday, Dec. 29th) should top-ranked Alabama KO two-touchdown underdog Georgia in the SEC Championship Game?

Or, are we headed for some really wacky scenario in which #4 Georgia, Oklahoma AND Ohio State each lose here on Championship Game weekend ... paging the UCF Knights, right?

In any event, it's gonna be a slam bang weekend for the college kids and we'll dish a bit on all Five (5) of the Power Conference title tilts shortly but first this ultra-important reminder:

Jim Hurley's Network of Handicappers and Bloggers are banging out lots of College Football winners this weekend beginning with tonight's Pac-12 Championship Game between Utah vs. Washington plus there's a great NFL Week 13 menu come Sunday/Monday and Jim's gonna win there too! Go ahead and get all the Football along with NCAA Basketball and NBA winners too when you call us at 1-800-323-4453 or get 'em online right here

Tonight, it's ...
PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - at Santa Clara, CA
#17 UTAH (9-3) vs. #11 WASHINGTON (9-3) - 8 p.m. ET, Fox
So, what else is new? The Pac-12 champion won't be getting any invite to this year's playoffs but a Rose Bowl berth is on the line here and talk about a tale of two QBs: Washington's four-year starter Jake Browning (2,692 yards passing with 16 TDs this year) has played plenty of high-profile games in his career while Utah QB Jason Shelley is a redshirt freshman who has taken the reigns from injured Tyler Huntley and delivered wins against Oregon/Colorado/BYU.
Spread Stats - Washington is 3-9 ATS (against the spread) this year while Utah's a tasty 12-3-1 against the odds when in the underdog role dating back to 2014.

On Saturday, it's ...
BIG 12 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - at Arlington, TX
#14 TEXAS (9-3) vs. #5 OKLAHOMA (11-1) - 12 p.m. ET, ABC
One bit of advice to these Oklahoma Sooners: Be yourself. In other words, if this game winds up another 59-56 type win (see last week's score in a road win/push at West Virginia) then Lincoln Riley's club is gonna have to feel that's good enough to catapult the Boomer Sooners into the playoffs. True, Oklahoma's allowed 40-or-more points in each of its last four games but OU's won all of those four games and here QB Kyler Murray (3,674 yards passing with 37 TDs and 7 INTs to go along with 853 rushing yards / 11 TDs) gets a shot at Texas a second time after the 'Horns snagged a 48-45 win in Red River Shootout Part I.
Spread Stats - Oklahoma is 0-6 ATS in its last half dozen showdowns with Texas; The UT Longhorns are 14-10-1 ATS under second-year head coach Tim Herman.

SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - at Atlanta, GA
#1 ALABAMA (12-0) vs. #4 GEORGIA (11-1) - 4 p.m. ET, CBS
Did you realize that the closest Alabama game played this year was a 22-point non-cover win against Texas A&M way back on Sept. 22nd? That's right, Nick Saban's club has kicked butt and taken names en route to this title clash in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and now runaway Heisman Trophy candidate QB Tua Tagovailoa (3,189 yards passing with 36 TDs / 2 INTs plus five rushing scores) looks to give Georgia another high-profile defeat after last year's heroics in the national championship game. Hey, can Dawgs QB Jake Fromm (2,236 yards passing with 24 TDs and 5 INTs) make every red-zone visit count here?
Spread Stats - Alabama's 8-4 ATS (against the spread) overall this year; Georgia is 18-8 versus the vig since the start of 2017.

ACC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - at Charlotte, NC
#2 CLEMSON (12-0) vs. PITTSBURGH (7-5) - 8 p.m. ET, ABC
Nope, you saw it correctly: The Clemson Tigers are a four-TD betting favorite for this "neutral field" game against the Pitt Panthers and may we remind y'all that Dabo Swinney's squad has scored 45, 42 and 38 points while nabbing wins in each of the last three ACC Championship Games ... gotta believe this one could get so out of hand that another D-lineman could be rushing for a Clemson TD but no Heisman Trophy poses, okay? P.S., Clemson ranks second in the country in rush defense.
Spread Stats - Believe it or not, Clemson's just 32-31-2 against the odds overall since the start of the 2014 season; Pittsburgh roars into this one having covered six of its last seven games.

BIG 10 CHAMPIONSHIP GAME - at Indianapolis, IN
#21 NORTHWESTERN (8-4) vs. #6 OHIO STATE (11-1) - 8 p.m. ET, Fox
Now, haven't we been down this road before with the Ohio State Buckeyes (see 59-0 blowout over Wisconsin in the 2014 Big 10 Championship Game that propelled the Columbus kids to a playoff berth and eventual national championship)? If the 'Eyes have it here - meaning a true, one-sided win against overmatched N'western - will Urban Meyer's club again get the nod providing Oklahoma beats Texas by, let's say, a touchdown or less? No doubt Ohio State slinger Dwayne Haskins (4,081 yards passing with 42 TDs and 7 INTS) and friends are thinking "margin" victory here.
Spread Stats - Ohio State is just 3-6 ATS as twin-figure betting favorites this year; Northwestern is 20-7 vig-wise against Big 10 opponents the past three years.

NFL WEEK 13 UPDATES
Okay, so the then league-best nine-game ATS held by the New Orleans Saints (now 10-2 SU) is gone following last night's 13-10 mistake-strewn loss in Dallas and so let's swing the other direction and show you what NFL teams currently sport the longest spread losing streaks while heading into the rest of the Week 13 docket:

The New York Jets have lost five consecutive pointspread verdicts;
Jacksonville is 0-5-2 ATS since early October;
Atlanta's failed to cover its last three in a row;
Carolina's 0-3 vig-wise the past three weeks;
Philadelphia has lost its last three in a row to the Las Vegas numbers;
And the Los Angeles Rams are 0-3-1 vig-wise in their last four games;
