NFL WEEK 12 SUNDAY GOODIES - AS JIM HURLEY'S ANNUAL TURKEY SHOOT ROCKS ON
Okay, so NFL fans can't rely on either the Los Angeles Rams nor the Kansas City Chiefs for their pigskin entertainment here in Week 12 - they both have byes comin' off last Monday's wild/wacky 54-51 win/push by the Rams - but there's still plenty of goodies on the table ... and that reminds us:
Jim Hurley's Network of Handicappers and Bloggers keep banging out lots of Football winners this holiday weekend with our latest Annual Jim Hurley Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot - hey, we take you right thru the Side & Totals in Monday Night Football (that's Tennessee Titans at scorching-hot Houston Texans) - and you can really make your holiday a blast. Just call us at the toll-free telephone # of 1-800-323-4453 or get 'em online right here as we crush the books on one of the great football weekends of the year! Hey, there's loads of College Basketball and NBA winners too!
In NFL Week 12 action on this Sunday, it's ...
NEW ENGLAND (7-3) at NEW YORK JETS (3-7) - 1 p.m. ET, CBS
If you believe the reports, then Patriots' mega-star QB Tom Brady (illness) could be questionable for this matchup in the Meadowlands but not sure we're buying considering New England's up to a 10-point favorite here ... hmmm. The fact of the matter is the Pats have put up some pretty pedestrian numbers this year - they rank 19th in rushing offense / 11th in passing offense - and they do come off a 24-point loss in Tennessee prior to last weekend's bye and so gotta believe NE is in an ornery mood here. No rookie QB Sam Darnold (foot) here for the J-E-T-S who stagger into this AFC East bash on a four-game ATS (against the spread) losing streak and NYJ's scored a grand total of 43 points the past four games.
Spread Note - New England's 10-4 ATS in divisional games the past two-plus seasons.
PITTSBURGH (7-2-1) at DENVER (4-6) - 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS
Can you believe the last time the Steelers played a regular-season game in the Mile High City was all the way back in Week 1 of the 2012 campaign? They did play in the 2015 playoffs (see Denver 23, Pittsburgh 16) but the bottom line is Mike Tomlin's team is roaring-hot with six wins in a row SU (straight up) and now QB Ben Roethlisberger (3,202 yards passing with 23 TDs and 10 INTs) must overcome that white noise in Denver - expect a suddenly-stingy Steelers defense to bring an extra body or two into the box to stifle RB Philip Lindsay.
Spread Note - Pittsburgh is 5-0-1 versus the vig during this winning streak and overall the Steelers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last half-dozen road tilts.
On Sunday Night, it's ...
GREEN BAY (4-5-1) at MINNESOTA (5-4-1) - 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC
The last time these NFC North teams clashed they were fit to be tied ... 29-all apiece back in a kooky Week 2 game at Lambeau Field. Hey, back then both the Vinings and Packer were fresh off Week 1 wins but now there's real desperation in the air for this prime-time matchup. Gotta say that Minny has not exactly gotten a great bang for their buck when it comes to QB Kirk Cousins but he did post a 425-yard, 4-TD game against Green Bay in mid-September and so Mike Zimmer's club is banking on a big showing here but if the Packers - a 3.5-point / standard home-field disadvantage here in the price - are gonna stop the road slide (see 0-5 SU away in 2018) then QB Aaron Rodgers (19 TDs / 1 INT) must be nearly perfect while "reading" where Minny S Harrison Smith is gonna be at all times ... gotta Mr. Rodgers?
Spread Note - Minnesota and Green Bay sit at a dead-even but vig-losing 10-10 ATS in their last 20 head-to-head matchups.
Here's some final NFL Week 12-related goodies to gobble up this holiday weekend ...
Baltimore's failed to cover its last four games;
Indianapolis is 3-0-1 ATS in its last four outings;
Jacksonville is 0-4-2 spreadwise in its last six games;
And Tampa Bay is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six tilts.
