NFL WEEK 9 - CHECKIN' OUT ALL THE KEY GAMES FROM COAST-TO-COAST

The NFL hype machine has been hard at work this week while leading up to Sunday's biggest marquee matchups - that's the unbeaten Los Angeles Rams (8-0 ... or halfway to perfection) at the New Orleans Saints plus the prime-time clash between QB Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at QB Tom Brady and the New England Patriots but here at Jim Sez we're an equal opportunity previewer, so enjoy our batch of NFL Week 9 games below ... but first this reminder:

Jim Hurley and his Network of Handicappers and Bloggers are scorching hot after slamming the books last weekend and with the Thursday/Friday action this week and we'll have all the NFL Week 9 games plus College Football and the NBA too - just call us at our toll-free telephone # of 1-800-323-4453 or else get the winners right here online and keep on piling up all the big-time profits.

NFL WEEK 9
On Sunday, it's ...

PITTSBURGH (4-2-1) at BALTIMORE (4-4) - 1 p.m. ET, CBS
It's a revenge-plus-points deal here for the visiting Steelers who were dunked 26-14 at home by the Ravens back in Week 4 play - forget that Mike Tomlin's team is stoked by some comments made by Baltimore QB Joe Flacco, the key here is getting positive numbers from "fill-in" RB James Conner who rushed for only 19 yards in that first matchup with Baltimore. Note the Steelers ride a three-game ATS (against the spread) winning streak into this AFC North tilt.

ATLANTA (3-4) at WASHINGTON (5-2) - 1 p.m. ET, Fox
It's a S.O.S. (as in Save Our Season) game for the off-the-bye Atlanta Falcons and who knew that the team's red zone woes would be such a problem! Note the 'Skins, meanwhile, would love another 149-yard rushing game from RB Adrian Peterson (see 64-yard TD gallop last week against the NY Giants) but gotta believe Washington only wins here if it picks off QB Matt Ryan (15 TDs / 2 INTs) a couple of times. Hey, Atlanta's 3-9 spreadwise away since the start of last year.

DETROIT (3-4) at MINNESOTA (4-3-1) - 1 p.m. ET, Fox
Who knew that first-year Lions HC Matt Patricia would be laying down the law in his meet-the-media pressers? Patricia scolded a local reporter for comportment but shouldn't he be ticked as his NFC North crew for last week's no-show performance against Seattle? The Vikings enter this divisional clash at 21-7-2 ATS as hosts the past three-plus seasons. Another 100-yard receiving game here for Minny WR Adam Thielen?

KANSAS CITY (7-1) at CLEVELAND (2-5-1) - 1 p.m. ET, CBS
Wow, whatta week it's been in Cleveland where HC Hue Jackson and OC Todd Haley were axed - if you're waiting for interim boss / DC Gregg Williams to turn into a modern-day Vince Lombardi, forget it! Kansas City QB Patrick Mahomes (26 TDs / 6 INTs) will have carte blanche to look deep here but will the "chunk plays" be enough to cover the 8-point road price here. The Chiefs have failed to cover four of their last five games when laying more than a touchdown price.

LOS ANGELES RAMS (8-0) at NEW ORLEANS (6-1) - 4:25 p.m. ET, Fox
Best matchup on this NFL Week 9 menu and note the price tag has gone from Rams minus one, to Saints minus one, and now it's LA Rams minus 2.5 points ... there's that California money comin' into Las Vegas, folks! No question that Rams' slinger Jared Goff (2,425 yards passing with 17 TDs and 5 INTs) has a spread-the-wealth mentality but watch what LA's wide outs do after catching the ball as WR Robert Woods and mates often bust big ones and so we say the major heat here is on the New Orleans secondary ... got it? On the flip side, last week the Saints managed to win 30-20 in Minnesota even though QB Drew Brees threw for a season-low 120 yards (while throwing his first INT of the season) ... now we'll see what RB Alvin Kamara does after catching Brees' swing passes. Yes, it's still "early" but winner gets gets the leg up on the NFC's numero uno seed and that's uber-important stuff.

On Sunday Night, it's ...
GREEN BAY (3-3-1) at NEW ENGLAND (6-2) - 8:20 p.m. ET
Let's cut right to the chase on this super-duper showdown of super-duper signal-callers:
The Rodgers-led Packers rank third in the NFL in passing (334 ypg) while the Brady-powered Patriots rank just 15th in the league in passing (275 ypg) but the $64,000 question here is can Patriots' do-it-all RB James White get 20-plus touches and will he be a goal-line demon? The oft-overlooked White has six receiving TDs so far this year and so Green Bay's LBs better get a handle on 'em here. Price tag has come down from NE minus a full TD to - 5 ... hmm. Green Bay is just 5-9 spreadwise as dogs the past year-plus.
