Network Goes 3-0 Thursday With Raiders/49'ers UNDER, UCF and the OVER

SATURDAY'S KEY COLLEGE PREVIEWS STARRING #1 ALABAMA (WHO ELSE!) ...

NFL WEEK 9 OFF-AND-RUNNIN' WITH 49ERS DRUBBING RAIDERS 34-3

Okay, let's just say there's a very, very good chance that the Alabama Crimson Tide stays right there at #1 in the College Football Playoff rankings right throughout this here-and-now 2018 season ... but better believe there's a whole lot of football folks keeping fingers crossed that 15-point home underdog LSU pulls the Saturday night shocker against 'Bama in Death Valley as that would create major chaos on the playoff scene.

Hmm, make that fingers crossed and a good luck charm stashed away too! Take note that LSU hasn't beaten Alabama in Baton Rouge since - get this - the 2010 season (see LSU 24, Alabama 21).
Yes, Alabama has been the runaway class of the college football world this autumn and domination on the weekly scoreboard has been pronounced. Never mind that the 'Bama Crimson Tide is "only" 5-3 ATS (against the spread) thus far in the '18 season; check out the fact that Nick Saban's crew has won its games by 37, 50, 55, 22, 42, 34, 29 and 37 points ... egads!
More on Alabama vs. LSU in just a moment but first this key reminder:

Jim Hurley and his Network of Handicappers and Bloggers are hot-hot-hot after slamming the books last weekend and we'll have all this week's College Football Winners plus get all the NFL Week 9 games and the NBA too - just call us at our toll-free telephone # of 1-800-323-4453 or else get the winners right here online and keep on piling up the profits. There's three College Football Games on the Friday night menu including #25 Virginia hosting Pittsburgh (7:30 p.m. ET on espn2) plus a late-nighter in the Pac-12 between Colorado at Arizona. Last night we crushed it with UCF (-10.5) and "over" play on UCF 52, Temple 40 ... va-va-va voom.

On Saturday, it's ...
#1 ALABAMA (8-0, 5-0) at #3 LSU (7-1, 4-1) - 8 p.m. ET, CBS
You saw the game-by-game runaway wins by Alabama up above ... now lefty QB Tua Tagovailoa will look to add to his growing legend here by decimating another foe but note LSU's only lost by 4, 7 (in OT) and 10 points in its last three home games against the Tide and you do have to wonder if this price tag isn't a bit too "ambitious" here. If LSU slinger Joe Burrow (1,544 yards passing with 6 TDs) can operate a ball-control attack that keeps Tagovailoa (2,066 passing yards / 25 TDs / 0 INTs) off the field for minutes at a time, then we could get some real SEC West drama.
Spread Stats - Alabama has covered four of its last five head-to-head matchups against LSU; The host Tigers are 5-and-oh spreadwise as underdogs since the start of 2017.

#6 GEORGIA (7-1, 5-1) at #9 KENTUCKY (7-1, 5-1) - 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS
Winner snags the SEC East crown ... and who would ever have believed that prior to the start of this season? After all, Kentucky - which beat Mizzou last week on the game's final play following a defensive pass interference call in the end zone that extended things for one additional play - is a 9-point underdog here and UK's best/only hope here is for RB Benny Snell (SEC-best 935 yards rushing) to bust some big one against a Georgia "D" that has held seven foes to 17 points or less.
Spread Stats - Georgia's split its eight pointspread verdicts this year but note the Dawgs are 12-6 versus the vig in SEC games since late in the 2016 season; Kentucky is also 4-4 against the odds this season but the 'Cats are an ugly 0-5 ATS in their last handful of head-to-head showdowns against Georgia.

#14 PENN STATE (6-2, 3-2) at #5 MICHIGAN (7-1, 5-0) - 3:45 p.m. ET, ESPN
There's a whole lot of "revenge" talk comin' out of Ann Arbor after Penn State brutalized Michigan 42-13 last season - the nation's top-ranked maize-and-blue defense now looks to get that pound of flesh and one key here is Michigan RB Karan Higdon (831 yards rushing / 5.4 ypc average) who needs at least 25 touches here.
Spread Stats - Michigan roars into this Big 10 tilt riding a three-game pointspread winning streak but overall the Wolverines are just 23-23-1 ATS under fourth-year head coach Jim Harbaugh; Penn State is 22-12-1 ATS overall since the start of the 2016 season.

NFL WEEK 9
Let's put it this way: If these Oakland Raiders are not "tanking" then heaven help 'em! Last night's 34-3 loss at Bay Area rival San Francisco featured no-name Niners' QB Nick Mullens going off for 262 yards passing and 3 TDs (he was dealing right out of the starting gate, folks) and the loss dropped the Raiders to 1-7 ... the question is how many first-round draft picks can Oakland pile up before next year's NFL Draft and will they eventually be assured the numero uno pick?
