How’s this for a roundup of NFL Week 8 action on this final Sunday in October?

The fun-and-games get started overseas – again – with another one of those morning tilts from jolly old England and it doesn’t end till the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings put a wrap on things from the Twin Cities with what could well be the “game of the day”.

All we know is there lots of winners on the NFL Week 8 docket:

Jim Hurley and his Network of Handicappers and Bloggers have all the NFL Week 8 games plus the weekend’s World Series showdowns between the Boston Red Sox at the Los Angeles Dodgers, the College Football winners and all the NBA stuff – just call us at our toll-free telephone # of 1-800-323-4453 or get the winners right here online at and keep on piling up the profits.

On Sunday, it’s …

PHILADELPHIA (3-4) vs. JACKSONVILLE (3-4) – (at London) 9:30 a.m. ET, NFL Network

Rise and shine … one mo’ time. It’s another breakfast time game in England and two desperate teams have at it here – can Philly rebound from blowing a 17-0 fourth-quarter lead in last week’s loss to Carolina; can Jacksonville finally get its troops on the “same page” and have oft-maligned QB Blake Bortles step up to the plate?

Spread Stat – The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles have failed to cover five of their seven games played this year and that includes a wobbly 1-5 pointspread mark when laying points.

DENVER (3-4) at KANSAS CITY (6-1) – 1 p.m. ET, CBS

If Kaycee gunslinger Patrick Mahomes ain’t the hottest thing in the NFL these days, then we don’t know football! The Chiefs’ superstar already has thrown for 2,223 yards with 22 TDs (and only 5 INTs) and here there’s even a chance he won’t have to evade the pass-rush skills of OLB Von Miller (ankle) who is listed as questionable.

Spread Stat – Kansas City’s the only NFL team with a perfect pointspread mark this year at 7-and-oh but did you know the Chiefs have covered their last six consecutive games played against the rival Broncos?

GREEN BAY (3-2-1) at LOS ANGELES RAMS (7-0) – 4:25 p.m. ET, Fox

The one-and-only undefeated team in this man’s NFL – the LA Rams – have registered 30+ points in all but one game this year and RB Todd Gurley (Mr. Fantasy League) seems to score multiple touchdowns every game. If Gurley gets to gash this Green Bay defense that ranks a lowly 22nd in the league in rush defense, then Pack slinger Aaron Rodgers (12 TDs / 1 INT) might have to put up 30+ points just to get a G-Bay cover as 9.5-point underdog sides.

Spread Stat – Since 2009, the Packers have won/covered all four of their head-to-head games against the LA Rams.

On Sunday Night, it’s …

NEW ORLEANS (5-1) at MINNESOTA (4-2-1) – 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC

One more mention of the Minnesota Miracle from last year’s NFC Divisional Playoff round and we’re gonna gag!

Okay, so last year’s game-winning TD catch-and-run by WR Stefon Diggs was amazing stuff but right now all the talk’s about opposite wide-out Adam Thielen (67 catches for 822 yards and 5 TDs) who is shooting to go over 100 yards receiving here for an eight consecutive game. Hey, the Saints zoom into this prime-timer off their own little miracle win – see Baltimore OK Justin Tucker’s missed PAT last Sunday – but there’s already plenty of magic on board with QB Drew Brees at 501 career TD passes and counting!

Spread Stat – The Vikings are an amazing 48-23-2 ATS (against the spread) under fifth-year head coach Mike Zimmer.
