I told you I was looking forward to the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Now you know why!
Since this past Wednesday, my Big Dance selections are an incredible 17-4 against the pointspread, with an undefeated 4-0 record on my vaunted PINNACLE plays. Nobody in the country is on that kind of tear. Bettors celebrate records like 6-4 (60%) or 8-4 (67%)…but 17-4 is on a whole different level.
This is why WAYNE ALLYN ROOT is the only man in the sports betting industry with a star on the “Walk of Fame” in Las Vegas!
Here’s a quick recap…
Cal-Davis +3 beat NC Central outright 67-63
Middle Tennessee -1 dominated Minnesota 81-72
Northwestern +2.5 beat Vanderbilt outright 68-66
St. Mary’s -4.5 coasted past VCU 85-77 (a PINNACLE play)
Purdue -8 beat Vermont 80-70
Wisconsin -5.5 beat Virginia Tech 84-74
Oklahoma State +2.5 covered in a 92-91 loss to Michigan (a PINNACLE play)
Oregon -15 beat Iona 93-77
Creighton +1 lost to Rhode Island 84-72 (first non-cover on this list)
Dayton +6.5 covered in a 64-58 loss to Wichita State
Cincinnati -3.5 crushed Kansas State 75-61
Wisconsin +6 stunned Villanova and the nation 65-62 (a PINNACLE play)
Northwestern +11 hung with Gonzaga in a 79-73 loss
Butler -3.5 outclassed Middle Tennessee 74-65
St. Mary’s +5 faded late and lost to Arizona 69-60
Florida +2 obliterated Virginia 65-39
Michigan +3 rallied to beat Louisville 73-69 (a PINNACLE play)
Wichita State +4.5 covered in a 65-62 loss to Kentucky
Baylor -6.5 couldn’t cover in a 82-78 win over USC
South Carolina +7.5 upset overrated Duke 88-81
Cincinnati +4 couldn’t get there in a 79-67 loss to UCLA
Turned out I shouldn’t have been fading the Pac 12! Going against UCLA, USC, and Arizona cost me, as did Creighton. But…who cares when those are the only losses in a 21-gun salute that set profit records! Again…17-4 with the high roller PINNACLE plays sweeping the board!
Prior to last weekend weekend I provided you some tips for finding upsets in the Round of 32. I then went out and nailed the three biggest headline makers Saturday and Sunday with Wisconsin over Villanova, Michigan over Louisville, and South Carolina over Duke. I also had the biggest underdog cover of the Dance when Florida got the money by 28 points against Virginia. I didn’t quite get there with St. Mary’s over Arizona and Cincinnati over UCLA. But, strong first halves from those dogs gave you some hints about matchup edges I was seeing.
If you know anything about WAYNE ALLYN ROOT, you know I’m not a man who rests on his laurels. I’m not even a man to rest! I’m always at peak intensity trying to find edges for my clients. I’m really looking forward to the marquee matchups coming up in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. My current thoughts on this week’s challenges…
*I will definitely re-evaluate my skepticism about the Pac 12. Yes, there are weaknesses for all three remaining teams that may only now come to the forefront in higher pressure scenarios. But, Arizona and UCLA in particular impressed me with their composure down the stretch. How many ACC teams seemed to have no idea what composure even was?!
*I’m also pondering zigging on the Big 10 right when everyone else is about to zag. I could tell that the best teams in that conference had something to prove through the opening weekend. But, now that Michigan, Wisconsin, and Purdue have made their statements, are they going to take their foot off the gas? Those teams aren’t good enough to relax. Michigan is the most “Final Four ready” in my view given their form of the past few weeks. But, even they have little margin for error if they get overconfident.
*Everyone out here in Las Vegas is still hyped about Gonzaga. I went against them with Northwestern. Better officiating might have made that an even tighter ending. I don’t see this team running the table. But, they do have the kind of quality guards who can deal with West Virginia’s press. Are they ready to handle the full 40-minute challenge against the first Sweet 16 caliber team they’ve faced in months?
Big plays in the Big Dance will resume Thursday. If you’re reading this before then, I will have daily plays in the smaller tournaments as we continue to build bankroll. I’ve been the THE KING OF LAS VEGAS for decades. And, you can tell that my advantages over the betting marketplace are just as big now as they’ve ever been. The mainstream media is in shock at what’s happened. All the computer analytics guys are trying to explain why they overrated the ACC all season. My clients and I are celebrating a 17-4 run for the history books! It’s time for you to go to W.A.R. alongside WAYNE ALLYN ROOT!
