I cannot explain it and I won't even try. I released the Philadelphia 76ers last night as a solid 50-unit play, predicting an 8-9-point win over a Boston Celtic team that is old, worn down, out of breath and out of gas. With Boston opening up a 14-0 lead, moving that out to and 18-3 margin and being up 46-31 at the half it appeared all was lost but this is the National Basketball Association-the NBA where no lead is ever big enough and dramatic comebacks are old hat.
Despite the miserable start, Philadelphia outscored Boston 61-37 in the second half and won going away, 92-83, including outscoring the Celtics 9-0 in the last 1:38 of play. Lucky trumped smart in this one-and I will take it.
The winning continues in the NBA today with my 100-unit NBA Semifinal Game of the Year set to get all the cash. There are just two games on the schedule-the San Antonio Spurs at the Los Angeles Clippers in an afternoon game and with the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder in a night encounter, and one of these teams is the 100-unit play. For the record I won my 100-unit 1st Round Playoff Game of the Year two weeks ago in rather impressive fashion as the Denver Nuggets buried the Lakers by 15 points, 99-84.
You can win this game for just $50, charged to your major credit card and it is available on this site and toll free at 1-800-755-2255.
San Antonio leads its best-of-7 semifinal series with the Clippers 2-0, having beaten the latter 105-88 and 108-92 in the first two games. The Lakers beat the Thunder 99-96 in a thriller last night and will be taking the court 24 hours after that game. O.C. leads the series 2-1.
I am having an excellent week in the playoffs, as you can see by my record listed below.

American League Goes 9-5 Opening Night
The American League continued its winning ways last night as the first-round of Interleague games were played with the National League, going 9-5, and picking up right where it left off last year, or for the past eight seasons. The AL has dominated interleague play since it began, beating the NL the past eight years and standing 11-4 since it began 15 seasons ago.
Over all, the American League is 1,939-1,773 over the National League in interleague play.
As strong as the AL has been in these games, I got all the money last night with my 50-unit Interleague Game of the Week with a National League team-the Philadelphia Phillies (-160) in their 60-4 win over the Boston Red Sox.
Today I am coming right back with my 50-unit Interleague Parlay of the Week and intend to break the bank with it. Get all the details below.
Spurs Go For 17th Straight Win Today
Those who bet the NBA have never-and I mean never-had a friend the equal of the 2011-12 edition of the San Antonio Spurs. When San Antonio takes the floor against the Los Angeles Clippers today they will be going for their 17th straight win, having not lost a game since five and one-half weeks ago, on April 11.
Just as amazing is the fact the Spurs are 16-0 in their last 16 games stand 14-1-1 against the spread (ATS). Those who have capitalized on the under-rated Spurs this season expect this, since this is a team that has gone 30-3 in its last 33 outings and in those contests went 26-5-2 ATS They are 5-point favorites over the Clippers this afternoon.
