It’s the first busy day of college football bowl action. If you weren’t with us earlier in the week, you might have missed important game previews and notes about sharp betting! Here are links to articles that have run the past few days in advance of Saturday’s Bowl Grand Slam:

New Mexico Bowl

Our exclusive VSM-BLOG preview for Colorado State vs. Washington State was posted late in the day Thursday. This has a chance to be an entertaining shootout if the weather cooperates. The first kickoff of the day is at 2 p.m. ET, 11 a.m. here in Las Vegas on ESPN. Speaking of “here in Las Vegas.”

Las Vegas Bowl

Jim Hurley’s Network covered the much anticipated USC-Fresno State matchup in their Thursday edition of the handicapping NOTEBOOK. Will Fresno State spring an upset to reach their coveted twelfth victory? Will USC perform for their third head coach this season? Watch at 3:30 p.m. ET, 12:30 Vegas time on ABC.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

Your last look in 2013 at the blue turf in Boise! It’s Buffalo from the MAC hoping to exploit a climate advantage against San Diego State from the Mountain West. Our exclusive VSM preview was posted Friday afternoon on the blog. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. ET, 2:30 p.m. here in Las Vegas for another ESPN telecast.

New Orleans Bowl

It’s Louisiana Lafayette vs. New Orleans in the final game of the day…and the final leg of an ESPN tripleheader that starts in prime time. Jim Hurley covered this in his Saturday NOTEBOOK that was posted here on the blog early Friday evening.

Sharp Betting in Saturday’s Bowls

This recap ran Thursday, looking at how professional wagerers had been attacking the four-game mega-card with their early betting. Be sure to compare that rundown with game day moves that happen before kickoff. Remember that we’ll be running these Wise Guy reports all through the bowl campaign.

Hurley Sez Bowl Nuggets

The popular “Hurley Sez” feature outlined key factors for all four Saturday bowl games in this report that was posted Thursday, and also included select previews for marquee matchups on Sunday’s NFL card.
