Jim Hurley

JIM HURLEY is the founder and president of the most unusual organization in sports wagering.

Created as a small handicapping service back in 1985, Jim's NETWORK has evolved into a nationwide TASK FORCE of, handicappers, scouts, number crunchers, draftniks and former pro players who study and analyze every team and every game to develop BETTER information, make SMARTER picks and win MORE money!

In simple words, Jim's system approach to handicapping picks more winners and makes more money for their customers. And they are able to do this not because they are a one-man band, but because of the "TEAM" approach that utilizes a huge information gathering system to fine tune every selection.

But because they truly are a "Network" and cover the colleges and pros wall-to-wall, they know what's going on inside the locker rooms and dugouts. They know who's hot, who's hurt and who's ready to kick butt. NETWORK’s computer department analyzes upcoming matchups like it was the Dow Jones. They dig beneath surface factors to find out how two teams really compare. Who needs it more? Who's tapped out? Who's out for revenge? NETWORK finds those answers.

So when they run NETWORK'S number up against Vegas', we can immediately spot whether a game is off, and how much, and just cherrypick the contests that are giving us the most points

That's why JIM has racked up twentyone consecutive money making season for his customers.

Now what about YOU? Wouldn't you like to know who the big winners are going to be this week? NETWORK can tell you. Want to make money off that knowledge? Jim's NETWORK can help you there, too.

Want the best shot at the most money? There are dozens of ways to get you there, no matter what your wagering patterns or budget. So, why not get started NOW!

Richie Baccellieri

In case you don't know me, for years people in Vegas knew Richie B as a kind of linesmaker's linesmaker - a kind of numerical purist who, when every other sports book in Vegas was posting Ohio State (-7) over Texas, I was saying... "NO! It ought to be Ohio State (-8)!"

I took a position. I didn't just put up a "betting middle" where I could draw even betting action from both sides. Instead - if I really felt the Buckeyes were stronger than generally thought - I'd put up (-8) or even (-9) and dare the bettors, "Come and get me! Prove me wrong!"

Network Notebook: MLB Preview…NY Yankees at LA Angels

Wednesday night’s ESPN game matching the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels features a pair of teams who really can’t afford to lose right now. The Yanks are neck deep in what’s suddenly become a FOUR-team race at the top of the AL East. The Angels are well back of the Astros, but still very much in the playoff picture with a won-lost record that’s pretty much interchangeable with the Bronx Bombers in the big picture.

As we’ve reported to you a few times already, the Yankees do have a hidden “kicker” in their hand that involves an unbalanced home/road…

Network Notebook: MLB Preview…Pittsburgh Pirates at Detroit Tigers

There are so many storylines in play when the Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Detroit Tigers this week that it’s hard to keep track. You have “Wildcard favorites” in the marketplace because both teams are expected to stay behind St. Louis and Kansas City in their respective divisions through the duration of the season. Yet, you have two teams who obviously have the talent to make headlines in October when it’s time to win a championship.

Pittsburgh is already playing that way. Detroit is off to a slower than expected start, but is hoping Justin Verlander’s return can ignite a strong finish.

Kelso’s Advanced Sports Betting: When to Take +1.5 Runs in Baseball

The last time we were together here in my College of Advanced Sports Betting and Handicapping, we talked about the best times to lay -1.5 runs on the baseball run line. Today, we’re going to turn it around and talk about the best times to take +1.5 runs.

For too many of you, this never even occurs to you! It’s human nature for too many “square” bettors to try to “justify” betting on the most dominant teams. If they can’t “afford” laying -240 because that seems to high, they lay -1.5 runs at lower juice even though the percentages might make…

Wayne Root: How to Find “Surprise” Teams in the 2015 NFL Season

The past two weeks we’ve talked about preparing for the 2015 college football season here in my web articles. This time, we move to the NFL. I’m not going to get specific about which teams WAYNE ALLYN ROOT believes might take the league by storm this season. I need to protect that information for my paying clients! But, I will outline strategies YOU should be using to find big money teams who may catch oddsmakers napping.

First, the most successful “surprise” teams invariably involve an “us against the world” mentality that is either driven by a head coach or a cast…

Meet the Matz!

Okay, so forgive us for the little takeoff on the 50-plus year-old theme song called "Meet the Mets" but, wow, what a debut for the new left-handed hurler for the New York Mets.

The 24-year-old Matz - born and raised on Long Island approximately an hour from Citi Field -- wheezed into Gotham City this past weekend and promptly got the call to start Sunday's regularly-scheduled game and he quickly surrendered a home run to the first Major-League batter he ever faced…

Network Notebook: MLB Series Preview…Kansas City at Houston

As we get deeper into the 2015 Major League Baseball season, it’s becoming pretty clear that the Kansas City Royals and Houston Astros aren’t going anywhere. Defending AL champion Kansas City is the betting favorite to win the league again because they have balance from top to bottom and an amazing bullpen. The time for Houston to “fall back to earth” has long passed. The team is actually improving in some key areas as the season progresses.

That means this week’s Royals/Astros series could be a playoff preview. It’s at least a current look at two of the best “first half”…

It was a busy day at the Golden Nugget. Just remember to keep things in perspective when looking at those numbers.

*The openers represent team perceptions held by oddsmakers at the Golden Nugget rather than a composite of all oddsmakers across Nevada and the offshore world.

*Betting limits are still smaller than you’ll see during the regular season. That means it doesn’t take much money to move the number. (And,…

Kelso’s Advanced Sports Betting: When to Lay -1.5 Runs in Baseball

We’ve reached the point in the 2015 Major League Baseball season where gamblers are starting to be confronted with really big favorites on a daily basis. Any contender throwing its best pitcher(s) will be prohibitive favorites when hosting the worst teams in the sport.

And, THAT dynamic usually brings some very dumb betting strategies out of the woodwork. Ever since the betting markets first offered run line alternatives, SQUARE…LOSING… DEGENERATE bettors have decided that laying -1.5…

Back when Major League Baseball used to jam all the Interleague games into a few weeks midseason, it usually became clear quickly that the American League was better than the National League. Often MUCH better. This dominance goes back years now.

It’s funny, in the earliest days of Interleague, the National League was much more successful. Pundits kept say that’s because it was easier for NL teams to switch to adding a Designated Hitter when they travelled. Supposedly IL play was UNFAIR to the American League! Network Notebook: MLB Series Preview…Kansas City at St. Louis

It’s not just a potential World Series preview…or even World Series rematch. This weekend’s high profile Interleague series between the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals matches teams with the best records in their respective leagues right now.

*Kansas City is best in the AL, thanks to a 3-game road sweep of the Minnesota Twins that took them from one game back to two games ahead in the AL Central. Betting markets also have the Royals as the current favorite to win the American League (though the Yankees are making a run).

*St. Louis is best in the NL, cruising along…

Richie Baccellieri: How Sharps are Betting Game Four of the NBA Finals

Oddsmakers were well aware that “the whole world” would be looking to bet that pre-series favorite Golden State Warriors would bounce back strong in Game Four of the 2015 NBA Finals. The trick was finding a price that would make sure that bettors were paying a premium for one of the most obvious “must-win” situations of all time.

So…even though:

*Golden State was -6 in a series opener that was tied after 48 minutes

*Golden State was -8 in the second game that was also tied after 48 minutes

*Golden State was -2 on the road in a game they lost by five

The Warriors…

THE NBA FINALS REPORT:HERE'S YOUR GAME 4 PREVIEW AS THE WARRIORS LOOK TO"GET EVEN" WITH THE FRISKY CAVS…PLUS NFL NEWS & NOTES

Here's the really strange part of this year's NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors – a better-than-2-to-1 betting favorite prior to the start of this best-of-seven series – and the Cleveland Cavaliers:

The better the underdog Cavs play, it seems the less they are respected by the all-knowing Las Vegas oddsmakers.Go figure, right?

The truth is Cleveland should have covered all three of this year's NBA Finals games – that eight-point overtime loss in Game 1 as 5.5-point pups…

Network Notebook: NBA Game 4 Preview…Golden State at Cleveland

That may have been the most dramatic turnaround we’ve ever seen in an NBA Finals. Cleveland was metaphorically dead and buried after losing Game One and Kyrie Irving. Golden State was priced at -700 to win the series! Two straight Cavaliers victories…and now we have a pick-em series that has many pundits wondering if the wrong team has been favored all along.

Well…given that we’ve had two overtime ties and one Cleveland victory, the wrong team HAS been favored all along!

Golden State’s faithful are no longer sure of themselves. Instead of wondering where they’ll park when attending the celebration parade, they’re…

Network Notebook: MLB Marquee Matchup…Cubs at Tigers

It’s been many years since baseball fans and analysts thought of the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers as similar teams. The Cubs have been a disappointing doormat for years. Detroit’s been a perennial AL Championship threat because they’ve done a good job of acquiring talent and putting it to good use.

Yet, entering the 2015 Major League Baseball season:

Chicago was projected to win about 82-83 games by the betting markets

Detroit was projected to win about 84-85 games by the betting markets

The Cubs were the hot new thing thanks to a change in management philosophy and some smart franchise-building moves. Detroit was…

Richie Baccellieri: How Sharps are Betting Game Three of the NBA Finals

It’s always interesting to track the market when an NBA playoff series switches sites for the first time. The line adjustment gives you a sense of how much oddsmakers and sharps are valuing home court advantage at the respective sites. You also have in the added dynamic of bounce-backs off whatever happened in Game Two…and what the mainstream media perceives as must-win situations for the series underdog.

In the case of the NBA Finals, Golden State’s playoff tendencies for strong road results are also complicating matters. Back in the Houston series…the Warriors were installed as short underdogs in Game Three, before…

Network Notebook: NBA Game 3 Preview…Golden State at Cleveland

Late Thursday night…many pro basketball fans (as well as many in the sports betting realm) assumed that the NBA Finals were already over. NO WAY Cleveland had a chance to win four of the last six games against Golden State with Kyrie Irving joining Kevin Love in street clothes. The rest of the series was just a formality.

LeBron James and company had other ideas!

After an inspirational 95-93 overtime victory, the shorthanded Cavs have now wrested home court advantage for what amounts to a best-3-out-of-5-series for the O’Brien trophy. But, there’s no room to relax…as Cleveland must defend home turf immediately…

Wayne Root: Cavs Now Even at 1-1, Trying to Score Historic Shocker

Before the NBA Finals began, some in the media were suggesting that a Cleveland Cavaliers upset would be one of the biggest championship surprises of all time. It’s not that the Cavs were a pretender. But, Western superpower Golden State was a whopping -240 favorite to win the title on the moneyline…and this just isn’t a sport where big underdogs make headlines. It’s one thing for a college Cinderella to score an NCAA Tournament shocker in a quick 40 minutes. Dogs winning a best-of-seven when the other team has home court advantage…MUCH TOUGHER!

Well, all of a sudden, the underdog Cavs…
